Rates & Insurance


Because "goodness of fit" is so important, I offer a free 30 minute consultation to explore whether therapy with me is right for you. If you decide to begin therapy with me, fees will be due at the time of your sessions at the following private pay rates:

$145 per 55 minute session

$160 per Initial session (75 minutes)

*Extended times for ISTDP sessions may incur additional fees and are not reimbursable by insurance. An initial ISTDP session is 2 hours ($290) followed by 60-90 minute sessions as determined by your needs. 


Your psychotherapy sessions may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Typically, one 55 minute session per week is covered. I am paneled with  Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Optima and Medicare. 

If you feel that therapy with me is a good fit for you, but I do not accept your insurance, your fees will be the same as the above rates, but I will provide a billing statement for you that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Some or all of your fee may be reimbursed to you. You can use an app such as Reimbursify to file your claim. 

To use insurance, please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits? 
  • Is tele-health covered by my policy?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met? 
  • What is my co-pay for mental health appointments?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Will they cover 75-90 minute sessions?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Tele-mental health

I provide online therapy for clients through a secure online portal specifically designed for health professionals. Fees are the same as for in person sessions. If you are not familiar with video technology, I offer a free 15 minute setup consultation. 

Accepted forms of payment include cash, check and electronic payments. Electronic payments are made through a secure online portal, or through a secure app based payment system such as IvyPay.

Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for full cancellation and/or rescheduling your appointment. If you call to cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance of your appointment, you will be required to pay half the cost of the session. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and do not call in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.

Since I am not able to bill insurance for sessions you did not attend, you will be required to pay these costs yourself, without the benefit of insurance reimbursement.
